NAKASEKE DISTRICT – The NRM Deputy Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja, has once again reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to transforming education in Nakaseke District after recognizing Butiikwa Project School as the best-performing government primary school in the recent Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
During a colorful ceremony held at the school, Rt. Hon. The award is part of the education support initiatives under the Rose Namayanja Foundation, which continues to inspire excellence among learners and schools across the district.
Speaking at the event, Namayanja congratulated the pupils, teachers, parents, and school management for their dedication and hard work, noting that quality education remains the strongest foundation for transforming communities and fighting poverty.
She encouraged learners to remain disciplined, focused, and determined, emphasizing that academic excellence is attainable regardless of one's background. She also challenged teachers and parents to continue nurturing children into responsible citizens who will contribute meaningfully to Uganda's development.
The Pass PLE learning materials, one of the flagship education initiatives of the Rose Namayanja Foundation, have become a valuable resource for thousands of Primary Seven candidates in Nakaseke. The foundation has consistently distributed the revision materials to schools to improve examination performance and encourage a culture of academic excellence.
Head teachers, education stakeholders, parents, and community members praised the foundation for its continued investment in education, describing the recognition as a motivation for schools to strive for even better results in future national examinations.
Beyond promoting academic excellence, the Rose Namayanja Foundation has transformed countless lives among underprivileged children in Nakaseke through bursaries, vocational skills training, scholastic materials, mentorship, and other empowerment programs. The foundation's interventions have enabled many vulnerable children to remain in school, acquire practical skills, and pursue brighter futures.
The recognition of Butiikwa Project School serves as yet another testament to the foundation's vision of empowering communities through education and ensuring that every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, is given an opportunity to succeed.
