Nakaseke District Council passes UGX 61.7billion budget for FY 2026/27

The Nakaseke District Council has officially passed a colossal UGX 61.7 billion budget for the Financial Year 2026/2027, setting the stage for accelerated service delivery, infrastructure development, and improved livelihoods across the district.
The landmark budget was approved during a highly spirited council sitting attended by district leaders, technical staff, and councillors, marking one of the final major sessions for the outgoing council term. The budget is expected to prioritize critical sectors including roads, health, education, water, agriculture, and community development as the district intensifies efforts to transform livelihoods and improve public services.
In an emotional and celebratory atmosphere, the council also took time to recognize and honor the dedication of leaders who served during the concluding council term. The Nakaseke District Chairperson together with councillors were awarded certificates of appreciation in recognition of their commitment, resilience, and contribution towards the growth and transformation of the district.
Speakers at the function praised the outgoing leaders for steering the district through challenging moments while ensuring continued service delivery and implementation of government programs. Several councillors described the recognition as a symbol of unity, teamwork, and dedication to the people of Nakaseke.
